FIELD: emergency and rescue jobs; raising sunken ships by restoration of buoyancy by forcing water out of them by means of air. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes mounting absolute pressure sensors above each compartment on ship surface in longitudinal plane of symmetry and mounting similar sensors near first ones inside ship. As soon as permissible excessive pressure of air indicated by sensors mounted inside ship has been achieved, delivery of air is discontinued. Rate of surfacing is controlled by indications of outer sensors. Change in trim is controlled by difference in readings of fore and aft outer sensors.
