Method for setting up a virtual sound recording studio in a remote location whereby node points connect to a network. At any node point sound tracks can be recorded, stored and transmitted over the network to a server which has appropriate interface software. The sound track is stored on the server for processing and production. At the same the sound track can be called up from another computer for playback, processing or editing.
