The switchgear housing (10) has a heat exchanger (18) provided by a flexible plastics pipe buried in the ground, supplied with warm air extracted from the housing interior (19), with recirculation of the cooled air, the air extraction and recirculation lines (13,14) formed integral with the switchgear housing and respectively provided at the top and the base of the latter. The cable trench (30) for the electrical cables (16,17) associated with the switchgear has a trench section (31) of increased depth below the switchgear housing, containing the heat exchanger.
