The belt system for carrying heavy samba drums (sourdos) comprises two shoulder belts (1) which cross at the back through a sliding plate (3). These are connected at the front by rings (4) to the ends of a waist belt (2). A chain is fastened to one ring which carries a snap hook at the other end. The lengths of the belts can be adjusted by buckles (5).
