The cylinder head (1) for a four stroke engine has an inlet valve with a cylindrical valve seat (5) fastened to the cylinder head, and a movement plate (6) which is pressed in the direction of the valve seat by at least one spring (7). Passages are constructed in the valve seat and the movement plate so that the sidewalls of the passages are extended along the radius of the valve seat and have an inclination with regard to the seat base. The valve seat and movement plate are constructed as cylindrical rings fastened on the cylinder head.
