The hydraulic clamp has a rotary driven clamping mandrel (1, 1a) onto which the tool (13) can be moved whereby the piston (3) is then manually displaced so far through a clamping part (10) that the pressure building up widens out the mandrel. The clamping part is axially movable against the force of at least one spring in the bore of the tool and is connected to the tool. The clamping part has a thread and is inserted at one end in the bore which can be stepped. The clamping part can be a nut.
