Power-saving method for operating a mobile telephone to save power rejects incoming calls continuously or under specific conditions subject to operating mode

Calls are not rejected because a caller is already in a conversion or would not like to accept calls from certain subscribers or might not be reached for technical reasons, but only in order to prevent high power consumption linked to a voice connection, compared with a data connection, e.g. short messaging services, in a situation, in which saving power is more important than taking calls. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) A mobile telephone with a mobile power supply, a device for determining charge status of power supply and a device for automatically activating an operating mode to save power, in which incoming conversations are rejected, by relying on charge status of the mobile power supply; (b) and for a device to be used within the infrastructure of a mobile radiotelephone service network with a network database, in which information is stored for certain mobile telephone subscribers as to whether incoming calls are to be rejected for a subscriber because of saving power consumption.
