The engine has two or more rotating combustion chambers and operates in a 3-stroke process. It has connected housing sections (4) with an outer wheel (2) rotating about an inner wheel (3). For a first stroke, a gas pressure generator is driven via the shaft (12) and/or the outer wheel to intake gas/air and eject combusted gases via variable apertures (1) in the housing parts. In a second stroke, the air is compressed by inner and outer wheel, and L and T-shaped sealing bars (11). Fuel is fed by a pump via ignition nozzles (9) into the combustion chambers. In a third stroke, expansion of the reacting mixture rotates the wheels and the rotation movement is transmitted to the engine shaft.
