The method involves generating a first raster field and multiple second raster fields, then determining which second raster field corresponds, brightness-wise, to the first raster field. The pixel size is then computed from the raster points of the corresponding raster fields. An independent claim is also included for a method in using the pixel size determining method in determining the absolute tone of the raster field on a substrate.
