Method for recognition of spatial object contours using synchronously recorded images has the following steps: synchronous recording of a scene with a multiplicity of cameras; segmenting of scene images and determination of object contours in 2D image space and; calculation of an initial spatial curve that describes the object contours within the images and determination of an optimum curve.
