The block system for building a crossing point for disabled people comprises rectangular central blocks (2) with a sloping upper surface (2a) to ease transition from the pavement (6) to the road. These are bordered by smaller blocks (3, 4) with outwardly-sloping surfaces (3a, 4a) forming a transition between the central section and the kerb (7a). The sloping surfaces act as a warning for blind people. An independent claim is included for a crossing point built using the block system.
