The transportable load-bearing podium structure (10), e.g. for choral stage performances and the like, has a number of podium elements (12) arranged in two or more rows (14,16,18). Each row is composed of elements locked together, with a different height for each row. The podium elements have a trapezoid base shape so that, when butted together with screw bolt fasteners (26), they form rows with concentric curves. The elements of the lower rows fit into those of the higher rows for storage and transport. Drillings (22) for a railing are at the edge of the highest row.
