The plastics end cap is used for an energy-saving tubular fluorescent lamp of 16mm diameter of high protection type, for use in a 38mm or 26mm light fitting with a magnetic bias circuit and receives a lamp protection sleeve and an electronic lamp adapter, with openings in the end cap, corresponding to the socket pins for the 38mm/ 26mm flourescent lamp, provided with sealing lips for the socket pins.
