The surface processing machine has a holding unit (110) which is fixable at a structure (300). A machining unit (200) is provided for processing the surface, so that the machine unit can operate a surface processing tool (210) and especially can be displaced in a hammer and/or rotation movement. In addition a pressure application unit (240,242) is provided which is connected with the holding unit and which is designed, in order especially to adjust with variable control a processing or a machining pressure w hich transmitted by the holding unit reacts across the pressure application unit on the processing tool (210). The machine tool also includes a positioning unit (120,130,140) which is designed to variably position the processing tool (210) relative to the holding unit (110).
