The large sun umbrella has a frame mounted on three hubs. The upper hub (1) is not attached to the support pole and is positioned above it when the frame is folded. The central hub (2) is fixed in position on the pole, while the lower hub slides up and down it. Eight support spokes (a) are pivoted at their upper ends on the upper hub. Four counter-spokes (b) are attached at their upper ends to four of the spokes and at their lower ends to the central hub. Four more counter-spokes (c) are attached at their upper ends to the other four spokes and at their lower ends to the lower hub.
