E-commerce method for sale of goods over the Internet, especially for sale of downloadable products, whereby products are traded using a central server and with exchange of description files and authenticity certificates

E-commerce method in which an object is offered for sale and a descriptive file of the object for sale is placed in a database (4) and transmitted via the Internet (11) to a central system (10) which transmits an authenticity certificate in response. A purchaser transmits search criteria to a central search engine (2) which transmits a list of corresponding object identifiers. During a transaction phase the purchaser transmits an object identifier to a supplier who transmits an object description file and associated authenticity certificate. The purchaser transmits a payment order and the description file to a payment server (3). The purchaser receives his goods. An Independent claim is made for a system for downloading files via the Internet in an E-commerce transaction.
