The method involves engaging a thin tube of a straw at an end with a proximal end of a pipe (1). A dose of liquid substance e.g. intra-uterine, initially contained in the straw is expelled by an injection unit, and the straw including its cork is withdrawn. A quantity of stuffer agent is expelled in the pipe to push the dose until its expulsion by a distal end (4) of the pipe. An independent claim is also included for an intra-uterine transfer instrument.
