The device has a handle (1) with an opening (2) in a hook shape and a curved beveled part (3). The curved part breaks down a part of two bivalve shells by a swiveling movement of the device after introduction of the shell into the opening (2) to create a light opening. The beveled part introduced into the light opening divides muscle of the two shells by to and fro movement of a user to separate the shells.
