Evaluating the breadmaking qualities of wheat comprising determining presence/absence of an allele (X) of at least one molecular marker in the region of chromosome 3A, delimited by markers cfd079b and gwm68b, where (X) is associated with high quality, is new. An independent claim is also included for a kit for the new process comprising at least two pairs of primers that allow amplification of two of the markers gwm5, gwm68b, gwm369 and cfd79b.
