The method involves applying a wavelet coding on different images obtained by comparison between a moving image and an estimated image corresponding to the moving image. The comparison provides a difference with an image interpolated from initial and final image of a sequence. A temporary coding of the image is effectuated by recovering a previously coded movement according to a temporary axis.
