PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluation method for relief safety valve capacity and an evaluation program for relief safety valve capacity, capable of designing the proper number and capacity of relief safety valves while setting a safety margin small by further accurately executing dynamic characteristic analysis of a reactor in a nuclear power plant. PSOLUTION: This evaluation method for relief safety valve capacity comprises steps S8, S9, S10, S10, S11 and S12 of perturbing an analytic parameter to be inputted to an analysis code for executing the dynamic characteristic analysis of the reactor to determine the distribution of pressure peak value of the reactor; and steps S14 and S15 for determining the statistic upper limit value of the distribution of pressure peak value of the reactor.
