COMPONENT REPLACEMENT REPORTING DEVICE AND PROJECTION TYPE IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly perform a reset operation when replacing consumables in a projection type image display device or the like using consumables such as a light source lamp which have characteristics degraded by periods of use. PSOLUTION: This component replacement reporting device is provided with; a CPU 1 being a measurement means for measuring a cumulative period of use of consumables; a non-volatile memory 2 being a storage means for storing measurement results therein; a component replacing operation determination means 3 for determining whether a replacing operation by attachment/detachment of consumables has been performed or not; and a reset control report means 4 for advising a user to reset the cumulative period of use in the case of determining it by the component replacing operation determination means 3 that the replacing operation of consumables has been performed.
