PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a broadcast program of which viewing is failed when a telephone call arrives during viewing television, to be viewed easily afterwards without using a particularly complicated apparatus and a large amount of memory.;SOLUTION: A television broadcast complementation system is constituted of a terminal and a server. The terminal includes a state monitoring means for monitoring the start time and the completion time of the incoming telephone call during receiving television broadcast, and a channel being in view before the incoming call; a broadcast complementation request means for requesting the server to generate the summary of the television program of which viewing was failed, based on the monitored times and the channel information; a reception means for receiving the summary transmitted from the server in response to the request; and a display switching control means for enabling viewing the received summary by switching the display to the summary. Also, the server includes a reception means for receiving information transmitted from the terminal, a broadcast complementation data generation means for generating the summary of the program of which viewing was failed at the terminal, and a transmission means for transmitting the generated summary to the terminal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
