PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying bivalve by which a Norovirus regarded as a main causative substance of virus food poisoning caused from oyster, is effectively discharged in a short time or wiped out so as to drastically reduce the Norovirus infectivity titer. PSOLUTION: The method for purifying bivalve comprises the following: connecting an electrolytic device 4 and a heater 5 to a cleaning tank 1 reserving seawater for cleaning oysters; making the seawater turn to electrolytic water in the electrolytic device 4 while circulating the seawater between the cleaning tank 1 and the electrolytic device 4; and heating the heater 5 so as to have 20C while circulating the seawater between the cleaning tank 1 and the heater 5. By the method, the Norovirus is discharged via the water flow of the electrolytic water passing through the inside of the oyster via physiological activity, and the discharged Norovirus is wiped out by the electrolytic water.
