PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pen ball made of cemented carbide superior in anticorrosion performance of which the writing touch is not deteriorated for a long time.;SOLUTION: This pen ball made of cemented carbide is constituted of 1 to 25 volume% of a compound carbide phase consisting of one or two kinds of Ni and Co, Cr, W and C and containing 25 to 50 mol% of C, 3 to 23 volume% of a bonding phase having as main composition Ni and/or Co, and a hard phase as the rest part consisting of WC. As the compound carbide phase with the good anticorrosion which is deposited by enclosing the hard phase, is deposited to be a large spot-like structure, a ball shape is maintained, oozing or leakage of ink can be eliminated, and excellent writing touch can be maintained for a long time.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
