PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To together take measures against damage to an artificial forest caused by wild deer and antelopes as well as against protection of the environment after applied to the forest.;SOLUTION: A cylindrical or sheet-like protective meshy foamed product is formed by kneading a repellent with which the wild deer and the antelopes are physiologically repelled into the meshy foamed product, or coating the foamed product with the repellent, so as to make the repellent supported on the foamed product, wherein the meshy foamed product is given by using a thermoplastic, is formed to have a number of holes of 20-50, an extent of foaming of 5-25 times, a spacial area of a mesh (area surrounded by strands crossing each other) of 0.3-4.8 cm², a number of the meshes of 11-83 (per 10 cm square), and a ratio of a height to a diameter of 6-10, is flexible, and has such rigidity as to be stand alone, so that the foamed product expands its knotted areas in accordance with growth of a tree and has flexibility so as to bend to a certain extent.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
