PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed controller for a transfer belt with which speed variation components that are caused by the rotational position of a roller for controlling conveying speed are eliminated as much as possible.;SOLUTION: The speed controller for the transfer belt is provided with a driving roller 2, a conveying speed control roller 16 in which an encoder disk 21 is integrally fixed to a rotary shaft 18 and a transfer belt 1 is brought into slidable contact with an outer peripheral surface 16a, an encoder sensor 23 which detects variation of a conveying speed V of the transfer belt 1 as the variation in the output pulses in cooperation with the encoder disk 21, and a feedback control circuit 24 which performs control of the conveying speed V of the transfer belt 1 so that the speed V becomes constant on the basis of the variation of the output pulses. The rotational center Q2 of the encoder disk 21 is eccentrically located with respect to the rotational center Q1 of the rotary shaft 18 and is matched with the center Q3 of a virtual circle formed by the outer peripheral surface 16a and the encoder sensor 23 is located on the side where the transfer belt 1 is brought into slidable contact with the outer peripheral surface 16a.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
