PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain modified cross section three-dimensional warp knit fabric that is produced by changing the length between the front and rear base cloth, in other words, the thickness and the uneven shapes on the surface of base cloths are altered in the knitting direction.;SOLUTION: In the knitting operation with a double Raschel knitting machine that is equipped with a moving means that allows front and rear intermediate frames 4a, 4b that support front and rear knitting needles 1a, 1b to move back and forth, equipped with a controlling means that separately controls the moving means and and equipped with a plurality of yarn guiding-reeds, the front and rear base cloths are formed by using the front and rear knitting yarns individually, as the position and/or the interval between both of the front and the rear needles are appropriately varied, and simultaneously the front cloth and the rear cloth are bound and knitted with binding yarn whereby modified cross section three-dimensional warp knit fabric A having the length between the front and rear base cloths varied and/or has the base cloths varied unevenness on their surfaces is produced through a series of knitting process.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
