PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conceptual expression generation technique capable of extracting conceptual information expressing the content of a text from the test and realizing a conceptual expression easily understandable and operable by a user. PSOLUTION: This conceptual expression generation system for generating the conceptual expression of the text that is an object comprises a language analysis part 2 for performing a language analysis including morphological analysis and paragraph modification analysis to the text; a text data structure generation part 4 for converting the text to a text data structure having paragraph information including notation, word class and modification information of constituting words based on the language analysis result by the language analysis part 2; an intention expression setting part 6 for adding, when the notation of words constituting the paragraph information of the text data structure and the arrangement of word classes are matched to a specified expression pattern, an intention expression stored in conformation to this expression pattern to the paragraph information of the text data structure in conformation thereto; and a conceptual expression generation part 8 for generating the conceptual expression by use of the added intention expression.
