PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for modifying a cord for the reinforcement of a rubber article to perform the modification of the cord accompanying to the impregnation of an adhesive liquid in improved efficiency and provide a modified cord for the reinforcement of a rubber article produced by the modifying method.;SOLUTION: The method for the modification of the cord for the reinforcement of the rubber article contains an impregnation step to impregnate the adhesive liquid in an organic fiber cord for the reinforcement of the rubber article. The method further contains a heat-treatment step to expose the cord for the reinforcement of the rubber article to a superheated steam. The modified cord for the reinforcement of the rubber article is produced by the modification method. The modified cord for the reinforcement of the rubber article has an intermediate elongation of 2-4% at 4×10^-2 N/dtex.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
