PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for preparing and controlling an impress document capable of utilizing effectively an existing electronic document, when preparing an electronic impress document, capable of setting an approval work flow, and capable of confirming the progress of impression.;SOLUTION: This impress document preparation system for preparing the electronic impress document by reading the existing electronic document in has a template preparing means for preparing or editing a pattern or a text including an impress frame for the impress document to prepare a template including those, an existing electronic document pseudo-printing means for outputting a printing output for the existing electronic document prepared by an existing document preparation device to be output as a mode read in the impress document preparation system, and a document combining means for combining the output of the existing electronic document output from the existing electronic document pseudo-printing means with the template.
