PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new technology realizing simple and highly-sensitive Raman spectroscopic analysis based on surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) by utilizing gold nanorod.;SOLUTION: The gold nanorod immobilized in the single particle film state on a substrate b is used as a thin-film chip for a sample. The thin-film chip is manufactured by aggregating the gold nanorod on a liquid-liquid interface and transferring it to the substrate b surface. The simple and highly-sensitive Raman spectroscopic analysis having a great SERS effect can be realized by using the thin-film chip, by attaching the analysing sampleto the chip and irradiating it with laser beam in a near-infrared ray region.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
