PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving situation extraction method, a driving situation extraction device, a controller for a control target, and a driving situation extraction program, suitable to extract each driving situation from a great variety of continuously-varying driving situations.;SOLUTION: A control system 1 includes the controller 10 for the control target, and the control target 11. The controller 10 for the control target includes the driving situation extraction device 100 and a control part 101. The driving situation extraction device 100 includes a situation extraction data collection part 100a, an ε-filter processing part 100b and a clustering part 100c. In the ε-filter processing part 100b, a signal is smoothed while keeping a difference between input and output within a finite value to collected data.
