PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and simultaneously prepare an aromatic carboxylic acid, an aromatic aldehyde and/or an aromatic alcohol of high purity.;SOLUTION: In order to separate an organic phase from an aqueous phase containing water produced as a by-product of the reaction, water added for removing by-products or a base added for removing the by-products in a reaction liquid, obtained by oxidizing an aromatic compound of formula (I) (wherein n is 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5; substituent R is an alkyl, an aryl, an aralkyl, a halogen, a haloalkyl, OR1, SR1, SOR1, SO2R2, NO2, NR1R2, CH2OR1, CH(OR1)(OR2), C(OR1)(OR2)(OR3), COR1 or COCOR1 (wherein R1, R2 and R3 are each chosen from an alkyl, an aryl or hydrogen), provided that when n is ≥2, multiple Rs are identical to or different from each other), the aqueous phase and a portion of the organic phase are withdrawn, and the organic phase is subsequently recovered from the withdrawn liquid.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
