PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal monitor type optical apparatus (digital camera, digital video camera, cellular phone with camera function) having horizontal/vertical position confirmation indexes, wherein the horizontal/vertical position confirmation indexes are provided on the outer frame of a liquid crystal monitor to speedily, easily and comfortably confirm the positions of horizontal and vertical lines. PSOLUTION: The same indexes are provided at the same left and right positions on the outer frame of the liquid crystal monitor in order to easily confirm the position of the horizontal line of an object (1), and the same indexes are provided at the same upper and lower positions on the outer frame of the liquid crystal monitor in order to easily confirm the position of the vertical line of the object (2), thereby constituting the liquid crystal monitor type optical apparatus with the horizontal/vertical position confirmation indexes.
