PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a profile line of an unnecessary portion from being contaminated as a noise when extracting a profile line of an assembled component from a picked-up image of the component, so as to enhance determination precision for correctness or the like in the assembled component by pattern matching. PSOLUTION: A picked-up image data of the assembled component is density-intensified to enhance resolution of a black area in an image intensifying processing part 421, and a fuzzy image is generated thereafter in a fuzzy image generating part 422. A pattern such as the profile line of the assembled component is extracted from the fuzzy image in a profile line extracting part 423, and the extracted pattern is collated with a standard pattern stored preliminarily in a standard pattern storage part 426, in a pattern matching processing part 424, to calculate a conformity rate between the both patterns. The conformity rate between the patterns is compared with a prescribed threshold in a component determination part 425 to determine the correctness of the assembled component 7 of an imaging object and the presence of defective therein.
