PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system for enabling a user to receive a rental article or merchandise at a designated store in a designated time and its utilizing method.;SOLUTION: The order of a rental article is accepted by a Web site or a telephone order, and a loan slip and a bar code for charge adjustment are outputted by a center server. The staff of a delivery center is made to deliver the rental article to a designated store by a designated date based on the loan slip. The bar code is read when the rental article is handed over to a user, and charge adjustment is executed in the store. In this case, the bar code indicates the sum information of the rental charge, and it can be treated in the same way as regular sales processing in the store.
