PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing method for prevention of grass and scouring at the periphery of a drainage ditch of a highway which can follow the change of the ground by scouring, which takes place of belt-like concrete of the periphery of a drainage ditch of a road side slope face, prevents weed drooping to the drainage ditch from growing, keeps the landscape of the rope side slope face trim, directly makes visible scouring due to splashing water of the drainage ditch from the outside and hence, easily prevents prevention of disaster. PSOLUTION: U-shaped sectional drainage ditch blocks 3 placed on the road side slope face 1 such as a highway road are installed to make a drainage way 2. A certain width of the ground face 14 of the both side peripheries 8 of the drainage ditch blocks 3 is made even. A certain width of ground face 14 where the periphery 8 of the drainage ditch block 3 from the inside wall end 6 of the upper face 5 of the side wall 4 of the drainage ditch block 3 is made even is covered with a vinyl chloride sheet 9' as a waterproof sheet 9.
