PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for inspecting a seamed section of electro-resistance-welded tube and its external surface.;SOLUTION: The probe-type eddy-current flaw detector, in which a frame movable in the vertical direction is provided on a stand which, is mounted protrudingly from the side of an electro-resistance-welded tube to the upper part of a seam part of the electro-resistance-welded tube; a probe stand which has wheels on the bottom and supports a probe facing to the top of the seam part is provided to the frame via a mounting member; and two long rods which pass via a rod guide on the frame and a long bolt, which hangs the probe stand through a spring between the frame and the probe stand for energizing the probe stand thereunder are provided to the probe stand, inspects external bead-cutting parts and neighborhood thereof, and inspects the internal of the seam part as required, using UST which generates a plurality of ultrasonic beams in the circumferential direction of the probes which are provided to sandwich the seam position at a certain interval.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
