PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance communication performance and security when reporting restrictions on the use of a network printer 1 to a host not permitted to use the network printer 1.;SOLUTION: The network printer 1 comprises an address restriction managing part 10 which determines whether or not a host sending a request to use is permitted to use the network printer 1; an access number managing part 11 which manages the number of times of accesses from the host not permitted to use the network printer 1; and a restriction reporting part 12 which reports restrictions on the use of the network printer 1 to the host not permitted to use the network printer 1 depending on the number of times of accesses managed by the access number managing part 11.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
