PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a warping drum for a sectional warping machine, so improved that weight reduction of the warping drum for the sectional warping machine itself is achieved, while keeping its stiffness, the warping drum is easily rotated at a high speed so as to increase a speed of winding warp threads to more than 800 m/min, preferably, more than 1,000 m/min, the warping drum is easily braked so as to shorten a time of stopping the drum from a high-speed rotation (for example, the rotation of the warping drum is stopped at not more than one revolution, preferably, not more than a half revolution, after braking the drum is started), and labor and cost for producing the drum are reduced, to provide the sectional warping machine using the drum, to provide a method for producing the warping drum, and to provide a method for producing each component thereof.;SOLUTION: This warping drum is so structured that a base body of the drum is formed out of a carbon material.
