PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for more correctly determining a human psychological state using an event-related potential and a system thereof.;SOLUTION: An object as a visual stimulation is provided on a display to an examinee, and a surface potential at a position settled on the scalp of the examinee is measured by a measuring device. Components of event-related potential acquired from the measurement results are analyzed. In the method for determining a conscious mind or other psychological states to the visual stimulation in the examinee, a positive potential P200 and/or a negative potential P200 which are generated before the generation of a positive potential P300 as the components of event-related potential are determined as a determinative factor.
