PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bullet capable of attaining nonlethal duties from a long-distance place.;SOLUTION: This bullet 10 is provided with a nonlethal payload 50, a composite material case 20 which is easy to break, an air explosion fuse 40 and at least one detonating powder. The bullet is applicable to arms having an intermediate caliber or a large caliber. After the bullet is shot toward a target intended from a gun system, a fuse mechanism starts a first detonating powder. The composite material case is sufficiently disassembled into small fragments such that the fragment of the composite material case is quickly deaccelerated to the nonlethal state by the explosive power produced thereby. The detonating powder can generate an excess pressure wave for confusing the target or incapacitating the target. Other nonlethal payloads such as aerosol and a rubber pellet may be provided in the wall of the case which is easy to break.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
