PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve evaluation accuracy of steam loss in a steam trap.;SOLUTION: Heat is exchanged between a discharged material such as drain and leaked steam, which flow out of the steam trap, and the cooling water through a heat exchanger. Calorific value of the discharged material is measured on the basis of calorific value transmitted to the cooling water by exchanging heat and calorific value of the discharged material after exchanging heat, and the measured calorific value of the discharged material is compared with sensible heat calorific value of the steam, which enters the steam trap, to evaluate steam loss.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
