PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel-pipe column reinforcing method which can easily and economically increase the strength of an existing steel-pipe column, and to provide a steel-pipe column reinforcing structure and a reinforcing member hanging jig for the steel-pipe column.;SOLUTION: According to the method, a side surface of the steel-pipe column has first and second rectangular openings formed therein at least at different vertical locations. Then a plurality of rod members as reinforcing members are inserted into a hollow portion of the column from the first opening which is located on a vertically lower side, and thereafter, they are uniformly arranged in the hollow portion, followed by filling non-contractive mortar in the hollow portion, until the mortar reaches near a lower edge of the first opening. Thereafter, the rod members as the reinforcing members are inserted into the hollow portion of the column from the second opening, and then they are arranged uniformly in the hollow portion, followed by filling the non-contractive mortar in the hollow portion, until the mortar reaches near a lower edge of the second opening. Further, aramid fiber sheets are stuck to the outside portions near the two openings, and protective portions each being formed of an iron plate or a fluorine paint, are arranged on the periphery of the sheets.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
