PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flower bud formation-inducing agent directly acting on the flower bud formation of plants and a flower bud formation-inducting kit. ;SOLUTION: The flower bud formation-inducing agent and the flower bud formation-inducing kit containing this flower bud formation-inducing agent contain in principle, a ketol fatty acid in which one of the different two carbon atoms selected from the carbon atoms out from 2 to n-positions is the carbon atom constructing a carbonyl group and the other is the carbon atom linking to a hydroxy group and the number of the carbon atoms (n) of the ketol fatty acid is 424, as an active ingredient.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
