PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten mounting process time of an electronic component in a mounting apparatus wherein a mounting position of an electronic component on a circuit board is positioned by rotation and movement in one direction of the circuit board. ;SOLUTION: A process time necessary for rotation of a circuit board on which electronic components are to be mounted is obtained. In the above case, the circuit board is rotated around a rotating shaft perpendicular to an X and a Y directions which perpendicularly intersect on the surface of the circuit board. A process time necessary for movement of the circuit board in either one direction out of the X and Y directions after the above rotation is obtained. A candidate point for mounting in which sum of the above times becomes minimum is made the next mounting point. As a result, in the case that positioning is performed by the rotation and the movement in one direction, the optimum electronic component mounting order can be formed, and the mounting process time of electronic components can be more shortened as compared with the conventional case.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
