PURPOSE: To provide an air defense system which can intercept a target at a low altitude and by which enough time can be taken for preparation of launching and launching of an air defense missile, and besides which can be installed in a distance. ;CONSTITUTION: A fixed control installation 1 launches an air defense missile 2 when it detects an enemy missile 3 having come flying, and shoots down the missile 3 at an interception point F where the approach trajectory T of the missile 3 and the interception trajectory (t) of the air defense missile 2 cross each other.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
