PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for raising crop seedlings, capable of uniformly raising the crop seedlings, hardly causing the ageing of the roots, and capable of raising a large mount of the seedlings in a narrow space by forming a water- permeable surface in the bottom of the container and dividing the inner space with dividing plates in a lattice-like shape and in a state having a small space. SOLUTION: This container for raising the seedlings of crops has a water- permeable surface in the bottom part, and the inner space of the container is divided with 2-50mm thick dividing plates into 3-15 square lattice-like divisions. A space of 1-20mm is formed between the lower ends of the dividing plates and the bottom surface, and water can pass through the adjacent divided spaces. The obtained pad-like container preferably has a depth of 3-10cm and a bottom area of 600-5,000cm2 .
