PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-melting point alloy for a fusible plug that includes no toxic substances of Cd and Pb, is reliable and inexpensive, and is thus appli cable to a next-generation refrigerant, a fusible plug using the alloy, and a refrigerator using the fusible plug.;SOLUTION: For a fusible plug for use in a refrigerator with such a sealed-in refrigerant as R22, R32, R134a, R407A, R407C, R407D, R407E, propylene, butane, isoprene and propane, the low-melting point alloy comprises 4 to 10 wt.% of Sn, 56 to 63 wt.% of In and the remaining amount of Bi. For a fusible plug for use in a refrigerator with such a sealed-in refrigerant as R404 under bar A, R407B, R143 under bar a, R410A and R410B, the low-melting point alloy comprises 5 to 10 wt.% of Sn, 56 to 63 wt.% of In and the remaining amount of Bi, and has a liquidus temperature of 71°C or lower.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
